Xiu leaned against the wall, reluctant to believe the fact.

Xiu: Aaron, what should we do to save Gui Gui? We don’t even know the whereabouts of Wu Xiong and Hebe!

Aaron: *calm* Don’t worry, we will be able to save them.

Xiu: You aren’t going to take that poison, are you?

Aaron: It’s not a poison. It’s just blood.

Xiu: It’s not just any blood! It’s the blood of hundreds of vampire assassin! You know it is poison to you! Once taken, you could never be a hunter! You could never hold your sword!! Most importantly, you will be manipulated by Ella!

Aaron takes in a deep breath before letting it out slowly and smoothly.

Aaron: I don’t see any other ways out of this.

Xiu: Of course there is! We just have to think!!!

Aaron swallowed his fear and worries before confessing: I can’t.

An unwanted silence hung in the air almost immediately after the statement. The silence seemed like a detested third party who had joined in the intense moment that Xiu and Aaron were sharing.

Aaron: I can’t do this without Gui Gui.

Xiu: Do it for her. Please, Aaron.

Aaron: I’m sorry.

With that, Aaron left the scene, leaving Xiu behind. Xiu felt hopeless and desperate. He felt as if he was abandoned by Aaron and he couldn’t swallow this hard fact.

Knowing that Aaron would never change his mind, Xiu made no attempt to stop him from leaving.

Xiu: Aaron….you were our only hope………

----2 Hours Later-----

Ella: What’s your prediction?

Rainie sat by the table, looking at her crystal ball.

Rainie: You have to know something about me. I’m a gypsy, not a door to the future. I don’t know exactly what will happen.

Ella: *frowned* Fine. Tell me anything.

Rainie looked through her crystal ball and shuts her eyes for a slight moment before speaking softly: Everything is safe and peaceful. You have the upper hand.

Ella: Is that so? *raises an eyebrow*

Rainie: Trust me.

Ella: *broad smile* Of course I do. *laughs*

Just then, Ella turned around to face her subordinate –George.

George: My lord, may I help you in anyway?

Ella: Keep track of Aaron Yan’s actions and report to me at once.

George hesitated before heading off to the dungeon. Rainie’s attention followed him till the moment George left the room.

Noticing this act, Ella spoke wearily.

Ella: Do gypsy fall in love?

Rainie: None of your concern, I guess.

Ella: Well, I do not have any opinion in your feeling but George is after all, a good choice. A brilliant vampire.

Without another word, Rainie left the room with her crystal ball.

Ella: *scoffs* Love…

Xiu walked along the dimly lit road, looking at the surroundings, giving his every move great hesitation.

Finally, he came to a stop just below a lamppost.

Xiu: Are you here?

Just then, someone spoke.

Han: I’m here.

Xiu turned to face Han, who looked even more stunning under the full moon. However, Xiu was not in the mood to entertain such thoughts.

Xiu: I came to ask for help.

Han: *concerned* What happened?

Finding no reason to lie, Xiu answered frankly.

Xiu: Help me find Wu Xiong and Hebe.

Han swallowed the fact hard and cold but she managed to reply him.

Han: You want me to find Wu Xiong? Don’t you think you are asking too much of me to find your beloved one?

Xiu: *sighs* Can we stop talking about this?

Han: Then what do we talk about? Xiu, we had been together before. I had never seen this side of you!

Xiu: *raises his volume* Stop mentioning about the past!

Han: *Frowns deeply* Why? We used to share sweet memories!!

Xiu: Until the day I knew the true you!!!! You killed my parents, my brother and my sister! You lied to me!

Han: Xiu, I just wanted to share everything with you. I just want our life to belong to just the two of us!

Xiu: By killing my parents, brother and sister, and then turning me into a vampire?! How can you do this to me and not tell me anything about these?!

Han: I…I didn’t mean to! It’s all in the past, forgive me and we can return to our life.

Xiu: Just like what you have said, it’s all in the past. Including our life together. Now Han, would you help me or not.

Han: Xiu, you will regret not coming to me. I have the power to create you; I have the power to end your vampire life too!

Xiu: Now you are onto threats?! I am not afraid of anything but about Wu Xiong’s safety. Nothing is more important than her!

Knowing that Han would never help, Xiu left her without turning back.

Han: *called out* You will regret every part of your decision!!!

Aaron looked at the dark sky, searching for the stars that were shining brightly on the nights where he used to go stargazing with Gui Gui.

Aaron: Gui Gui, what can I do to save you? I would save you even if it means ending my life.

He looked at the bottle which Ella gave him and thousands of thoughts flew in his mind.

Aaron knew Gui Gui would be heartbroken if she were to know that Aaron would be sacrificing for her but other than this means, he had no other choices.

He opened the cap of the bottle and lifted it up. With tears in his eyes, Aaron brought the bottle closer to his lips…
