Xiu leaned against the tree trunk as he decided to take a rest after the miles he had travelled. Taking on Aaron’s task wasn’t easy. Xiu have got to look out for Ella’s presence, avoid the evil clan’s pursue and the unknown vampire who attacked Aaron. All of these must be taken under serious consideration, not to mention the fact that Wu Xiong is probably fuming with anger right now.

Wu Xiong and Gui Gui had no clue about Aaron and Xiu’s plan, which they had discussed secretly in the back yard the previous night.

At the back Yard

Aaron: Xiu, get to this address and find this person. It’s not gonna be easy but help will be given. *hand a paper to Xiu*

Xiu: Does Wu Xiong and Gui Gui know about this?

Aaron: No and I don’t intend to tell them yet.

Xiu: Why?

Aaron: The lesser they know, the easier we can hide this from Ella.

Xiu: You are right. They would give a natural response tomorrow night.

Aaron: Xiu, be careful of everything. I was attacked by a vampire yesterday before I met Ella.

Xiu: *Widens his eyes* What happened?

Aaron: I will definitely find out everything I could about that vampire. Meanwhile, be really careful.

Xiu: I will

Xiu sighed and looked at the piece of paper Aaron handed to him.

Xiu: Let’s just hope for the best.

Without further ado, Xiu headed off for his destination which was 30miles away from Aaron and the rest.

---------An hour later------
Xiu walked cautiously and sneakily up the front steps of the cottage. He was curious as he thought it was just a very normal looking hideout for someone so resourceful and important. He wondered if Aaron was right in asking him to request for help from this person.

However, Xiu was immediately proven wrong as he approached the front door of the house. It opened on its own.

Xiu took the liberty to allow himself into the house as if he was invited.

Xiu: Hello? Is there anyone here?

There was no reply but Xiu could sense the presence of another person , though he wasn’t sure if it was human or vampire.

Xiu climbed up the stairs which lead to a room which had a beautifully decorated room.

‘Come in.’ Someone called out to him the moment Xiu reached the top of the stairs.
Feeling absurdly bewildered, he walked towards the door and opened it with a click.

He was indeed surprised.

Xiu: You….are

‘Yea, I have the remedy. I know you want it’ she replied almost immediately.

Xiu: Aaron told you about this?

‘Of course not. I’m a gypsy.’ She replied after giving a laugh.

Xiu POV: Aaron told us about his aunt being a gypsy before…but this….is her aunt?

As if reading Xiu’s mind, the gypsy said: I’m not Aaron’s aunt.

Xiu: You know her? Where is she?

‘She’s dead’ the young gypsy replied quietly

Xiu: She….

‘I am Rainie. Her only trusted disciple.’ The gypsy interrupted.

Xiu: No wonder Aaron told me to look for you.

Rainie: He must have known about his aunt’s death. It was natural and she had predicted that. But what’s gonna happen in the future would be very difficult to predict.

Xiu: But you predicted my presence.

Rainie: I did, but I could only predict this much. I could only give you the remedy. I can’t help any further.

Xiu: Can’t you predict the future?

Rainie: *raise her voice* I told you I can’t! When I look into the future, I have got no clue of what is going to happen in your world, the vampire world. I’m afraid I would have to leave but before I do so, I have to tell you the remedy.

Xiu was slightly taken aback by Rainie’s words. He did not know what is going to happen in the future but he definitely knew that it would be bleak. However, what’s of utmost importance to him right now would be to save Hebe and he wouldn’t care less if he could survive in future. After all, technically speaking, he is already dead.

Xiu: Can you give me the remedy now? How should I give it to her?

Rainie: Blood from the deepest grudge.

Xiu: *frowned* I beg your pardon?

Rainie: You heard me. This is your remedy.

Xiu: What? The five words?

Rainie: That is all I have to say. Leave now.

Xiu: You have to tell me more!

Rainie: Leave now, or it will be too late.

Xiu: What do you mean? Too late?

Rainie: Love and hate will be on its way and if you don’t escape, you would suffer great despair.

With that, Rainie pushed Xiu out of the room and slammed the door shut.

Xiu POV: I thought she couldn’t predict the future? Why is she giving me words of advice?

Thinking that it would be useless to stay any further, Xiu decided to leave the house and head back before dawn.

However, what he didn’t expect was to travel on a path which seemed to inevitably intersect with his past.

----Aaron’s----

Gui Gui: Aaron, are you hiding something from me?

Aaron smiled and placed his hand on Gui Gui’s head: Silly girl, I wouldn’t be hiding anything from you that you ought to know.

Gui Gui: How about those that I don’t ought to know?

Aaron: Then we shall not see that as anything important or worth discussing about.
Just then, Ella came into the backyard where Aaron and Gui Gui were in.

Ella: Am I disturbing anyone?

Gui Gui: *small smile* Nope, is everything fine?

Ella: Wu Xiong is staying with Hebe right now. I was wondering if I could talk to Aaron about something.

Aaron looked up and met eye to eye with Ella. He was wondering if Ella would be asking him the question he expects her to ask.

Aaron: *kisses Gui Gui* I will see you later. Have a good night.
With that, Aaron left the back yard. Sensing that as a consent, Ella followed him closely before bidding goodbye to Gui Gui.

----In the forest----

Aaron: What was it that you wanted to ask me?

Ella: You don’t seem to trust me much, am I right?

Aaron had expected her to harbor such a doubt and he thus answered truthfully.

Aaron: I don’t trust any other vampires.

Ella: Then why Wu Xiong and Xiu.
Aaron: They had proven to be that they could be exceptions.
Ella: Then give me a chance to prove it to you too.

Aaron: Why are you so bent on joining us?

Ella: Besides the fact that Hebe is with you guys, I want to fight evil with all of you.

Aaron: Then I would expect your selfless help anytime I need them.

Ella: You have my word.

With that, the two of them looked at each other intensely, each having different thoughts in mind.
