---The next day---

Gui Gui walks towards Aaron, who was standing at the balcony, leaning against the cold and hard wall. His gaze seemed to be cold and his mind seemed to have trailed off to a train of deep thoughts. Gui Gui couldn’t bear disturbing him but she couldn’t bear the troubling thoughts on her own too.

Gui Gui: Aaron

Her voice seemed to pierce through the deep cold night and this seemed to wake Aaron up from his intense thoughts.

Aaron: *looks up* Gui Gui, why aren’t you sleeping?

Gui Gui: I can’t get myself to sleep. Where’s Xiu?

Aaron: He’s still not back yet but you will see him tomorrow. Don’t worry. It will be fine. Everything will be fine. *reassuring smile*

Gui Gui: *hugs him* I just hope we could get back to the life we used to have when none of this happened.

Aaron: *smirks* You mean before you know me?

Gui Gui: *hits Aaron on the chest* Of course not. *smiles* I love the life the two of us shared. It’s the most wonderful time of my life.

Aaron: *strokes Gui Gui’s hair* Don’t worry, I will get our life back soon.

With that, Aaron made a decision on following the instructions of the secret message he had received earlier that night after his talk with Ella.

Aaron POV: I just hope everything goes well…

The next day

---Hebe’s room----

Ella: Hey Wu Xiong, how’s Hebe doing?

Wu Xiong: *sighs* She’s still the same. I just hope she could get well soon.

Ella: *smiles* She will.

Just then, Aaron came into the room.

Aaron: Ella’s right. She will get well. I have got the remedy.

Wu Xiong: *brightens her gaze* Really?! Aaron, where did you get the remedy?

Aaron: From an old friend of mine.

Wu Xiong: Really?!!! I got to tell Gui Gui this piece of good news!!!

With that, Wu Xiong rushes out of the room in search for Gui Gui, who seemed to be still asleep.

Ella: *turned to Aaron* Where’s the remedy? *smiles* I can’t believe we got that!!

Aaron: *smiles* It’s here.

Aaron took out a bottle of liquid from his pocket.

Aaron: This is the remedy. Three drops of these would cure any poison.

Ella: *amazed* I have never heard of this before!

Aaron: This is probably the only remedy in the world that could cure Hebe. The poison was too strong to be cured by any other antidotes.

Ella: Aaron, can I apply the medicine for her?

Aaron: Sure. I believe in you. *Smiles* I will go get Wu Xiong and Gui Gui.

Ella: I will wait for you guys here. *Smiles*

With that, Aaron left the room, leaving Ella alone with the remedy and Hebe.

Ella walked towards Hebe and sat down by her bed.

Ella: Hebe, I’m so glad there’s a remedy for you. *smiles* I am so glad….that there is only one remedy for you!!! *laughs* You are so lucky to have Aaron as your guardian angel…you are so lucky that you have him such that you have denied my lord’s love for you! How dare you treat him in this way? You share get your retribution now.

With that, Ella opened the cap of the bottle and poured the contents onto the carpeted floor. The liquid was poured out of the bottle within an instant.

Ella: *sighs* There goes your remedy. *Smirks* My sweet revenge is half done. The next target would be Aaron Yan, your beloved.

‘You need to make an appointment’ someone called out loud and clear.

Ella turned and was surprised to see Aaron.

Aaron: You need to make an appointment to kill me. There’s a line, so get in the queue now, or never.

Ella: *frowns slightly* You…

Aaron: Yea, that’s right. I knew about all your plans. Your devious plans.

Ella frowned deeply and without another word, she rushed towards Aaron like a bolt of lightning, ready to strike.

However, she was too slow for Aaron who had already ducked from her attack even before she could strike.

Like a strike of lightning, Aaron slashed Ella on her arm, leaving her bleeding deeply.

Ella: *laughs* So this is what you have? A dagger? What happened to your great sword?

Aaron: *Smirks* This is enough to kill you. I don’t need my sword. By the way, thanks Ella, you just saved Hebe.

Ella was astounded by Aaron’s words.

Before Ella could react, Aaron had already rushed towards Hebe and he created a wound on Hebe with the dagger that was stained with Ella’s blood.

Ella: What…what are you doing?!

Just then, Wu Xiong and Gui Gui came into the room and were taken aback by the astounding scene.

Aaron: Get hold of her, Wu Xiong! She’s from the evil clan!

Even before Wu Xiong could react, Ella had already dashed towards her and she pushed Wu Xiong away ruthlessly before heading for the exit.

With that, Ella disappeared from the room.

Just when Wu Xiong was about to give chase, Aaron stopped her.

Aaron: Wu Xiong, don’t. We will get her soon enough.

Gui Gui rushed towards Hebe’s bed: Hebe! Is she all right?

Aaron: Look at her wounds…

Hebe’s wounds were healing. It was like magic, every single wound was fading away.

Hebe: *opens her eyes* I…I….

Wu Xiong: She’s alive!

Aaron: *smiles* Technically speaking, she’s awake.

Gui gui: *hugs Hebe* You are fine! You are fine!

Hebe smiled weakly: Gui…Gui…

---2 hours later----

Wu Xiong: Aaron, could you tell us what’s happening now?

Gui Gui: You seemed to have knew about Ella’s plan already!

Aaron: I was as clueless as you guys before I received the secret message.

Wu Xiong: The secret message?

Aaron: I went for a walk with Ella, remember?

Gui Gui: Yea.

Aaron: After the talk, we went on our separate ways back. Just when I was strolling along the river, I found a letter lying by the river bank. I wasn’t exactly interested in it till I found the evil clan’s symbol- the canine. I opened the letter and I saw the secret message.

Wu Xiong: Someone tipped you off about Ella?

Aaron: Exactly. It told me everything about her and the remedy that could save Hebe.

Gui Gui: Ella’s blood?

Aaron: Blood of the deepest grudge. Exactly. I thought of Ella immediately. I couldn’t decide if I could trust the letter so I decided to test it out.

Wu Xiong: You deliberately mention about the remedy in front of us?

Aaron: Yea, the fake remedy. Ella was immediately taken in by this lie and I gave her an opportunity to get her hands on the antidote. She exposed herself immediately. I was hiding outside, listening to her. She was too engrossed to realize my presence.

Gui Gui: I never thought she would be the master of the evil clan!

Aaron: Jiro was her master and after he died, Ella joined Hebe’s clan and was ruled by Hebe. However, she was bearing a grudge towards her and in order to revenge; she bought over many evil vampires to betray Hebe. She was the one who caused the injury but I was surprised she knew nothing about the remedy.

Gui Gui: Then what about Xiu?

Aaron: I told Xiu to pull off that act of running away in order to look for the remedy for Hebe. He went to look for a gypsy, who is the disciple of my aunt.

Wu Xiong: Does he know about the secret message?

Aaron: No, speaking of him, he should be back by now.

Wu Xiong: He had been gone for two days…

Aaron: *sighs* I will look for him tonight.

----In the deep forest----

Xiu was lying on the bed of leaves and branches, harboring several deep wounds.

Xiu opens his eyes slowly to take a look at the surroundings.
