Aaron was too stunned for words by the scene before him. Gui Gui’s eyes were a deep shade of red and her bloodshot eyes stared at Aaron mercilessly, stunning the latter. Gui Gui took another shot at attacking Aaron as she darted towards her lover at lightning speed.

Aaron stared at her in disbelief and suddenly, spotting a terrible feature about her – the long and sharp canines that was revealed.

Aaron: Vampire……?

Aaron was too shock for any movement and there he was, standing rooted to the ground without guarding Gui Gui’s attacks.

Just before Gui Gui was about to strike at Aaron, she was wounded by a flying dagger from afar. With that, she was knocked unstable from her stance and fell onto the floor. Gui Gui hit her head and soon fell unconscious.

Aaron shifted his attention to the entrance of the dungeon. There they were, Hebe, George and Wu Xiong. Hebe was the one who threw the dagger.

Wu Xiong: Aaron, Xiu!

Wu Xiong rushed towards Xiu, who was lying on the floor, barely conscious.

Wu Xiong: Xiu!! Xiu!! *held him up* Are you all right?!

Hebe and George rushed to Aaron’s aid, concerned about what had just happened.

Hebe: Aaron! What happened?

Aaron: I…I have no…idea…

George: I’m very sure Ella must have known about all our plans. Gui Gui…she must have drank the blood…

Aaron: *shock* Drank… the blood?!!! You mean…she’s a vampire now?

George: Not entirely. Look, we have no time to explain everything now. Let’s hurry! I bet Ella would be alerted soon enough.

Totally agreeing with what George had just said, Hebe and Aaron hurried towards Xiu and Wu Xiong.

George: *throws Aaron his sword* Aaron, here you go.

Aaron: Thanks.

With that, the team headed towards the exit with only one hope in mind- to escape.

---Out of the mansion----

The team rushed out of the mansion as discretely as possible and soon, they were out of the mansion and were heading towards the forest. However, this had raised the suspicion of Aaron and George.

Aaron: *signals with his hand* Stop! *Whispers* Hang on, something isn’t right. It’s too easy.

George answered in agreement: Exactly. It couldn’t be that easy.

Aaron was holding onto Gui Gui, who was still unconscious. Xiu was able to walk but he had to lean against George for support.

Wu Xiong: *worried* You mean, there’s a trap?

Hebe: *frowned* But, didn’t you say Ella wouldn’t be expecting us to escape today? It isn’t full moon yet.

Aaron looked into the sky: Not yet, but it’s near.

Hebe: No matter what, we need to hurry now.

George: But be very careful!

The rest nodded in agreement. Just when they had picked up speed away from the mansion, a figure stood ahead of them, hindering their path.

George: *hesitated* Rainie?

Rainie: George. What’s happening?

Wu Xiong: Stop pretending! You are the traitor, right?

George: It was you who tipped Ella off. If not, she wouldn’t have fed Gui Gui with the blood!

Rainie: *frowned* No! I don’t know what you guys are talking about! I did nothing to betray you guys!

Hebe: You have betrayed us once. This is the second time. We won’t choose to believe in you again.

Rainie: You have to listen to me!!

George: You are just stalling time. Guys, let’s go.

‘Where are you going?’ A familiar voice rang in the dark. It was too familiar to forget and too evil to get rid of. It was Ella.

Ella walked towards them slowly: Hi guys, where do you think you are going?
Aaron: *frowned* Ella, what did you do to Gui Gui and Xiu?!

Ella: Strictly speaking, it was Gui Gui who attacked Xiu, I have got nothing to do with it. Secondly, I’m still on the question as to where you guys are going. Not inviting me along for the fun?

Hebe: *glares at Ella* Ella…what happened to you? Why have you become like this?

Ella: *Fierce tone* It’s all because of you! You snatched Jiro from me and you didn’t even cherish his love towards you!

Aaron: Whatever it is, Ella, just bring it on. We shall have our fight today. You know you wouldn’t be able to defeat me.

Ella: *Smirks* Well, with my army of vampires, I guess I stand a little more to gain. *laughs*　

Wu Xiong: What army?

Ella: Look around you! I have already plan everything before you guys even took action! Sense the power from everywhere?

Aaron closed his eyes and he felt a strong sense of power engulfing him. Ella was right; they were indeed surrounded by enemies who seemed ready to strike any moment. However, in addition to that, Aaron also sensed another power coming from a distance. Aaron wasn’t even sure if it was a vampire.

Aaron: *opens his eyes* Who’s your ally?

Ella gave Aaron a knowing smile and looked at him in amazement.

Ella: I’m impressed that you have sensed his presence. According to him, only the best could sense him. I think he’s right. *Smiles* But I’m afraid you won’t live to see him.

Ella raises her right hand and gave a signal. Without another warning, vampires from their surroundings rushed towards them.

Xiu: *worried* What should we do?

Just when the vampires were nearing, a figure appeared at the roof of the mansion. It jumped off the mansion, landing safely onto the ground. Upon seeing this character, Ella raised her hand to signal the vampires to halt.

Ella: *Curious* Why are you here? I thought…

‘I was just curious as to who we are dealing with tonight.’ The mysterious character replied coldly. His face was hidden in the dark as he stood at the spot where there wasn’t any moonlight.

Aaron: Who exactly are you? Ella’s ally?

‘I am nobody’s ally. I work alone. But somehow, you guys interest me.’ He replied again, this time, with more interest.

Xiu: You…you are…

‘Hi Xiu, it’s been quite some time since we met. I wonder how have you been.’ He asked sarcastically.

Aaron, Wu Xiong, Hebe and George were taken aback by Xiu’s familiarity with this mysterious person.

Hebe: Xiu, you know him?!

Xiu: *frowned* I wish I hadn’t. Wu Zun, why are you here?

Wu Zun stepped away from the dark spot and revealed his face under the light.

Wu Zun: *Smiles* I’m glad you still remember me. I guess I could start with killing you first.
